Although I have not visited or posted to SAV in several months, I don’t want it to ever go away. It ought to be archived, as there was lots of very valuable information as well as sharp satire on that site. (How about that video of QT singing “I Will Survive”?)
Seriously, I would like to see the entire contents of SAV published in book form. If that’s not feasible, maybe just the biggest highlights.

SAV just came back!
Could have sworn I clicked “Post Comment” early this morning after my initial semi-shocked sinking feeling when I saw SAV wouldn’t load. So glad we have a chance of saving our community (thanks JGorn), though definitely mourn the loss of all those stories and comments. Should’ve been catalogued into the Smithsonian! Fun ride while it lasted…hoping some of the SAV’ers that haven’t previously shown themselves here make an “appearance”.
I may have been the last person on SAV. Happened Saturday night while watching SNL. One minute was enjoying the cartoon from HOS, next minute everything was down. Wasn’t back up the next morning.
Bummed like everyone that all the stories and snarky comments are gone into the ether. Thanks JGorn for our new home. Let’s Make Vaccination Great Again!
One more note…it would seem an appropriate mark to end of an era. Photo on phone popped up this morning…exactly 3 years since I had the first covid vaccine (4/15/2021).

Sad to see all postings gone & SAV locked up. Though expected, still disappointing in the loss. Wishful thinking brings to mind that there’s a chance it’ll pop back on…

I guess we knew SAV would end at some point, but I’m sad about it. I discovered it early on (it had been going a couple of months), sorry to see it go.
I sent an email to Vaxxman today asking if this is the end of the road for SAV. So far no response. Not really expecting to hear back. Others have tried contacting him and the result was ‘crickets’. It’s a pity as we’ve had several members who may have been willing to take on the administration of the site. Or some of us could have shared it as a joint endeavor.
Sad day. 😔

“And so it goes.” Linda Ellerbee. I learned that there was hope from anti-vax idiots on Sav and one of the entries was @ 30 miles from my home. The surviving widow had a business and was closing down, having a sale etc. so I phoned her about specifics of one of the items and made arrangements to pick up. Called on the morning to tell her I was on my way and lo and behold the price had changed. I told her “if nothing happens’ I will be there in 30 to 45 minutes and be sure and hold them (4 truck tires) for me and should I wear a mask. She said no mask necessary. Something “must have happened” as I went about my day hoping she was waiting on the rube to come pay more than we agreed on.
I think we all knew this sad day would arrive. Look forward to seeing if a bunch of the old SAV peeps migrate over now that there is zero alternative. I’ve been generally going there out of habit, but will tune in here more to see what’s up.

I wish Vaxman would’ve given us some kind of heads-up on this. He seemed to lose interest in the site about two years ago. There there was the brief era of HCAMan’s postings and once that was over we’ve just been running on fumes since then. There was even some speculation that Vaxman might’ve kicked the bucket(!)
The last update was his fairly brief update on Loomer and we’ve had to scroll past her ogly mog ever since then. (much to everyone’s consternation.)
Looks like it could be the end of an era. Sad because I think some of the regulars don’t even know about FAFO.
I just made my daily morning visit to SAV. Then came here to see what others were saying. I’ll miss waking up to Loomer’s face every day.
The Death Star may have been nuked. It’s been drifting ever since Vaxman abandoned it so it was probably only a matter of time till it went poof.
