The conveniently (and wrongly) ignored first clause of the 2nd amendment was written at a time when the U.S. did not have a standing army, and the second clause was written when inaccurate single shot muzzle loaders and bayonets were state of the art weaponry. We are drowning in a self-imposed putrid pool of stupidity.

The Second Amendment gives us the right to bear ARMS, not just guns. How dare you limit my rights to only guns??!!
