Gun facts vs. gun opinions

Far too many people don’t understand the important difference between facts and opinions.

And when it comes to opinions, it’s a widespread misconception that all opinions are equally valid. However, some opinions are based on verified facts; while other opinions are based on assumptions, wishful thinking or personal prejudices.

Society could solve a lot of problems if more people understood the differences between facts and opinions; and between fact-based opinions and clueless opinions. We’re continuing to endlessly debate issues in which there really should be no debate. (That is, all the facts point one way.)

In this meme, the goth girl has the facts; while the clown has only a parroted NRA talking point with no evidence to support it.

“Guns don’t kill people. People shooting guns kills people.”

Is that really supposed to be an argument against gun regulation?

Knowledge as bliss isn’t an NRA talking point.
