I’ll root for peace, but I think the dove has been shot, hung, trampled, electrocuted, drawn and quartered, flogged, bit, whipped, stabbed, burned, fell from a Russian window, poisoned, and paper cut a thousand times.
The saying “two wrongs don’t make a right” feels so out of place when there have been thousands of wrongs on both sides.
Maybe when I wake in the morning, there’ll be a glimmer of hope but right now all I see is darkness. Watched a video of John Lennon singing Imagine earlier and it lifted me briefly. Briefly.
